Donation by the BMCF (Buckinghamshire Masonic Fund) to the Aylesbury Youth Motor Project

The BMCF (Bucks Masonic Centenary Fund) donated £952 for the cost of 8 x MCAFEE Office and Home Student & Live space Premium Bundles.

The project already own computers and required the software packages so the students can complete Functional Skills Qualifications, this forms part of an extension course for students who have struggled with academic qualifications and to provide functional skills to enable them to raise self-esteem and confidence to make learning easier.

The project website can be found at www.aylesburymotorproject.co.uk

Below is a quote from Joanne Elliott from the Aylesbury Youth Motor Project;

"Due to the kindness of Bucks Masons Centenary Fund we now have an Office suite for our students to use.

From September 2018 Aylesbury Youth Motor Project will be providing Functional Skills qualifications alongside our usual Motor Vehicle qualifications and the Office suite will enable our students to complete the ICT section of the qualification which includes:

  • Using information and communication technology systems
  • Finding and selecting information
  • Developing, presenting and communicating information and also what methods,operations or tools to use in a situation including ICT, and Maths.

In the meantime our students will be using the Office suite to complete any work that will help to support their learning within their Motor Vehicle qualifications, such as recording the information they research about different parts of a motor vehicle, produce publications, create spreadsheets and will also be able to share PowerPoint presentations which will incorporate a level of self-study.

The package we purchased also included McAfee LiveSafe Premium within the price to keep our new and exciting digital world safe."
