Personal Details

Barry was born in Acton Green, Chiswick, London and has a younger brother, Peter.

After his education, he started work as a Youth-in-Training with the GPO at the Dollis Hill Research Station.

He specialised in transmission networks, and was afterwards based in central London.

He took an early retirement in 2002.

He has been very happily married to Juliana for thirty seven years, and has four children.

He enjoys fishing and walking.

Masonic Biography

Craft

Initiated into the Eros Lodge (London) by his father in February 1978

WM in 1988, 2013 and 2014.

Appointed Metropolitan Grand Steward in 2005, and later that year became a founding member of the Met Gd. Stwds Lodge.

LGR in 1996, and SLGR in 2007

Joined the Penn & Tylers Green Lodge in 1985, WM in 1999.

First appointment in Bucks was ProvSGD in 2005, then PPGSwdB in 2011 and ProvSGW in 2016.

Royal Arch

Exalted into the Hall Barn Chapter in 1990. 1st Principal in 1996.

First appointment of ProvGStdB in 2000, PPGSoj in 2004 and DepProvGDC in 2009.

He is presently PPGSN.

He is also a 31º mason in The Ancient and Accepted Rite, and was a founder of the Merlaue Chapter Rose Croix in 2002.

He joined the Bisham Abbey Preceptory of Knights Templar in 2014.
