Charity Steward Seminars

As the 2010 Festival for the RMTGB sprints its last few strides towards the Festival Finale on 25^th October, our lodge Charity Stewards’ task will be to re-focus the minds of their members on fund-raising for more local charitable appeals. Tips and wrinkles learnt during the 2010 Appeal might naturally decay over the next few years so Provincial Charity Steward Bob Chevin writes elsewhere on the web-site about the formation of a Charity Steward Support Team. This group of a dozen or so assistants to the ProvGChStwd will be based at our Centres to support the efforts of lodge ChStwds and ensure lessons learnt during this major appeal are not forgotten. Invitations are being sent out shortly to potential Support Team members and seminars will be held in early-2011 to establish the skills and techniques which will be necessary to carry the new strategy forward. The work of the Charity Steward is fundamental to discharging our commitment to wider society more effectively – the formation of the Support Team will enable all lodges to play their full part.
