Charity Steward Seminars

February 2012

The role of the Charity Steward is vital to any Lodge; it is a Freemason’s duty, when circumstances permit, to give to Charity.  It is the Charity Steward’s role to remind the Brethren of their obligation.

The Grand Charity has now produced a Charity Steward’s Guide book which the Provincial Grand Charity Steward will forward to all Lodge Charity Stewards in the first quarter of 2012.  This will help tehm in defining their role within the Lodge and will be a helpful guide in times of difficulty.

During 2012, it is also planned to look at appointing Centre Charity Representatives to help with the flow of information and to assist the Provincial Grand Charity Steward in his duties.

There will be two Charity Stewards’ workshops to be held in late spring and all current and all would be Charity Stewards are urged to attend.  There will be one in the North and one in the South and details will be promulgated as soon as they have been finalised.

Our new Provincial Grand Charity Steward, W. Bro. Graham Dearing would welcome any thoughts on how Charity Stewards could be better assisted or if there are any specific development requirements.  He can be contacted either through the main Provincial Office or by his email address - This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
