Bucks Masonic Trout and Salmon Fishing Charity

The last outing of the year found us at Sheephouse Fishery, near Maidenhead.

The weather was quite mixed, but then it was 2nd October, so we were not too sure how the fishing would be.   We had experienced excellent catches previously at this venue, in fact the whole year had been very good, so the day started with much enthusiasm.

Joining us on the day were groups from Heritage House School, Young Carers and Bucks. Vision.  Some of the young participants had been with us before so they were already very well aware of the strict health and safety rules we apply but, for others, it was a very new experience so particular attention was given to them.

Our usual BBQ lunch went down very well and we had an added treat brought in by one of the helpers, venison sausages.

At the end of the day only six fish had been caught but this did not dampen the spirits of the youngster who had had a great stimulating day out.  After all, there is always next year.
