BUCKINGHAMSHIRE PROVINCIAL GRAND OFFICERS CLUB.

The Buckinghamshire Provincial Grand Officers Club was formed in 2008 with the following objectives in mind.

  1. To promote discussion and to facilitate an exchange of views between the  Provincial Executive  and the Provincial Officers in a relaxed atmosphere.
  2. To provide a forum for the Provincial Executive to detail their aims for the  Province.
  3. To promote a greater involvement in the work of the Province by Provincial  Officers.
  4. To allow Provincial Officers to socialise together, thereby creating a closer link between Lodges and an exchange of ideas.

The President of the Club is the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master.
The Chairman of the Club is the Very Worshipful Deputy Provincial Grand Master.

The Club is open for membership to Grand Officers and Provincial Grand Officers of the Province of Buckinghamshire, Present and Past. It is also open to Provincial Grand Officers of other Provinces, holders of Senior London, London, Metropolitan, District and Overseas Grand Rank, Present and Past, who are paid up members of a Buckinghamshire Lodge.

Meetings are held twice a year in the spring and autumn, in both the north and south of the Province. These are currently being held at Beaconsfield and Bletchley Masonic Centres. There is no Masonic Ritual and dress is always “smart casual”. The format of the meeting will usually consist of a half hour reception, to enable members to mix and socialise, followed by a meal (seating random). The meal is followed by an address or talk on subjects appertaining to Freemasonry in general or the Province in particular and a general “Q & A” session.

The Club has already received a very interesting talk on “Recruitment, Retention and Retrieval” presented by V.W. Bro. Cliff Drake and future subjects will include:

Provincial Strategy   Bucks. Masonic Centenary Fund
Provincial Honours   Bucks. Masonic Benevolent Fund
Mentoring   The work of the Provincial Almoner
Orations   The work of the Provincial Charity Steward
North East Corner Club   The Grand Charity
Freemasonry in the Community   Training and Development
Masonic Centres and the future   R.M.T.G.B
Visiting Officers scheme   R.M.B.I.
Book of Constitutions   Samaritan Fund
The Future of Freemasonry

The Club will always be open to suggestions from members regarding subjects for discussion and/or improvements to the format of the meetings.

Membership is £10 for the first year and £7 annually for subsequent years. This covers the costs of administration and room hire.
