Many coming to the Chair for the first time find the task somewhat daunting and the pressure to achieve ritual excellence to be of overriding importance; this programme however, does not deal with Ritual, but with all those other duties that the Master must take on board to make his year successful.
We all appreciate helpful suggestions (even if we don’t always take them up). This programme aims to focus on those relevant to the Master’s role.
This well established and highly acclaimed two-part workshop covers a wide range of ideas for planning and preparation of both Self and Lodge which will make the new Master’s year more enjoyable for all.
As Master of your Lodge, you are not running a company but you are in part managing your Lodge and many of the human resources and management concepts used in the ‘outside’ world can be adopted or adapted to advantage.
These Programmes could well be described as “supportive and constructive sessions for those coming into more Masonic responsibility”.
Our aim is that you enjoy, not endure your ‘year’
Whilst this programme does not deal with ‘ritual’ or attempt to standardise the way a particular Lodge works, it does, however, cover all the other aspects that will enrich the Master’s year and also harness the enthusiasm of a new Master towards the challenges facing freemasonry today.
What the brethren say:
‘The course was a real eye opener – I didn’t realise there was so much to the duties of the Master….’
‘Very informative, touched on many subjects I had not previously considered or was unaware of….’
‘’For anyone approaching the Chair, I would say that these training sessions are essential – even retreads seem to come away with something that they had not thought of previously, and for the virgins, it takes away some of the fear and trepidation that I’m sure we all feel’ Jeremy Newman – Hundred of Burnham Lodge No.5568
This programme is managed by the Buckinghamshire Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge – No 9222
