News

Within the Craft, there are three core programmes currently on offer. The first is targeted at Masters Elect/Senior Wardens. The second is for Directors of Ceremonies and their teams (Preceptors, Asst DCs), including those aiming to take on such offices in future and thirdly, new for 2008 – Lodge Secretary Workshops aimed at Secretaries, Assistant Secretaries and aspiring Secretaries.

Note: The DC programme is designed to cover both the Craft and the Royal Arch. Craft or Chapter specifics will be accommodated during ‘break out’ sessions

Specialist programmes also exist for Lodge Almoners (under the Guidance of the Provincial Grand Almoner, Peter Carey) and for Charity Stewards (under the guidance of the Provincial Grand Charity Steward, Bob Chevin). For content and dates, please refer to their separate Almoner and Charity Steward ‘links’ under the main Training and Development heading.

In addition to the Craft programmes, there exists a very successful Royal Arch seminar; this being targeted at the new(er) Royal Arch Companion. The declared aim of this programme is:

‘To encourage new Companions to develop their understanding of the Royal Arch so that they will enjoy their membership and look forward to taking office’ - this programme achieved acclaim during its 2007 run and will continue in 2008

Additionally, for the Royal Arch, a Chapter Principals workshop has been developed, this has the working title of ‘In search of Excellence’. It will be piloted towards the end of 2008 and offered to all Chapters soon afterwards

All these programmes focus on advancing Freemasonry in the 21st Century and are critically directed towards a greater and more meaningful understanding of our Ancient Institution.

All programmes are interactive and aimed at addressing individuals needs at whatever level.
